The river Doubs shaded by leafy trees

Doubs, Jura

The Doubs, which rises in the French Jura, forms the border between France and Switzerland for part of its length. It flows north east before bending back on itself at St Ursanne, in the Swiss canton of Jura. It then returns to France and eventually flows into the Saône. The river is reputed for the excellence of its fishing, and is also popular with hikers and canoers.
