A paddle steamer on Lake Geneva

Paddle Steamer, Lake Geneva

The paddle steamer Rhone is one of five belonging to the Compagnie Générale de Navigation (CGN) which runs the boats on Lake Geneva. The Rhone, built in 1927, is the youngest of them. The CGN has three other paddle wheel vessels whose original motors have been lost and which therefore run on diesel electric power. It also runs a number of more modern ships.
