Epiphany loaves are sold with a crown on top

Epiphany loaves

Epiphany loaves are made for January 6th, which is also known as Three Kings Day. They are made of sweet bread containing sultanas and almonds. Hidden in the loaf is the small plastic figure of a king. (Originally a bean was used for this purpose.) The person who finds the king in their portion is given the crown and becomes king - or queen - for the day.
