A turbine on display at the Emosson dam. The dam, built in 1975, lies at a height of 1930 m (6330 feet) above sea level above the Val de Trient, close to the border with France. It has created the second biggest reservoir in Switzerland after Grande Dixence and produces nearly 900 million KW hours per year. The area is also the site of the largest dinosaur find in Europe.
