Headdresses of the feast day costume. The feast day costume is worn only on specific religious occasions, and for a few other solemn events, such as the wedding of a daughter. The fan-like lace headdress is known as a Schlappe. Between the two halves is a broad pink ribbonThe long sleeved jacket, or Schlotte, has a white drawn-thread collar with matching cuffs. These trimmings are the most expensive part of the costume: it takes an experienced embroiderer 400-500 hours to make them.
