Switzerland has a wealth of folk customs, celebrated at different seasons and in very different ways in the different regions. Many are connected with religious feast days, others mark the farming year.
This DVD contains 75 video clips which give a comprehensive picture of the huge range of customs and traditions from all four language areas of the country. Over a hundred customs and the historical background are described in the texts written by one of Switzerland's leading folklore experts. They are complemented by illustrations and sound recordings.
