Swiss architects have been involved in the construction of St Petersburg ever since its foundation in 1703.

This two-part DVD, produced to celebrate the city's 300th anniversary, contains a selection of historic and modern documents, films and interviews illustrating the emigration of builders from Switzerland to St Petersburg. It includes brief biographies of Swiss architects, builders and planners who worked in the city, as well as a catalogue of selected buildings, information about the historical background and a bibliography.
